Don Pangburn, a senior principal in the assurance group at GHP Horwath and acting liaison with Crowe Horwath International, has more than 35 years of experience in, tax and attestation services. He is also an international audit and tax resource principal who coordinates our firm’s international engagement services with Crowe Horwath International and other member firms. Don has extensive SEC expertise, and has performed accounting and reporting for public companies and closely held entrepreneurial businesses in a range of industries including non-profits, manufacturing, high-technology, real estate, and financial organizations.

In addition to his U.S. clients, Don has worked with companies in Toronto and Montreal, Canada where he has managed audit services with affiliate Crowe Horwath International member firms. He has also worked as far south as Mexico City, providing SEC consulting for another Horwath affiliate, Horwath-Castillo Miranda. Much of his international experience has focused on clients in Asia, where he has served as the lead assurance principal for a number of SEC reporting companies. In addition, he has worked with clients in Australia, Austria, France, Germany, Ireland, Kyrgyzstan, and India. In fact, Don has developed personal contacts with leaders of Crowe Horwath International firms in all major financial centers as well as many developing countries, including China, India, Malaysia, and Eastern Europe.

Don has been with GHP Horwath since 1990. Prior to that, he was a partner in the audit department of Laventhol & Horwath, a predecessor firm to GHP Horwath. Before that, he was a partner with Milzer Gelfond Pangburn & Co. He started his career at Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co., as a senior accountant. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Montana.
