Senior Principal

Lisa Meer, a senior principal in the Forensic & Litigation Consulting and Valuation & Corporate Finance Groups at GHP Horwath, has more than 23 years of experience providing forensic accounting, financial and economic analysis, valuation, and business advisory services in commercial litigation, bankruptcy, marital dissolution, and transaction matters. Lisa is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV), and a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) who specializes in providing valuation, consulting, and expert witness testimony services to attorneys, business owners, and stakeholders. She also holds a Colorado Real Estate Broker’s License.

Lisa has advised on matters involving breach of contract, product liability, purchase price allocations, labor and employment issues, fraudulent conveyance, alter-ego, business interruption, personal injury, wrongful death, professional malpractice, shareholder disputes, entity valuation, and corporate transactions. Her experience includes deposition, mediation, arbitration, and trial testimony, having testified as an expert witness in Federal Court, Bankruptcy Court, as well as in Colorado’s District and County Courts. She has also served as a court-appointed Special Master, and has rendered forensic accounting, reporting, and decision-making services in complex receivership matters.

She has a diverse background in public accounting and consulting, with deep expertise in a range of industries including real estate, hospitality, retail, manufacturing, financial services, technology, telecommunications, healthcare, among others. She has developed and presented numerous courses and written articles regarding valuing privately held businesses and professional practices, and quantifying economic damages in both commercial and personal disputes. She has also authored articles about economic damage, valuation, corporate finance concepts, approaches, and techniques.

In addition to her position as a senior principal at GHP Horwath, Lisa is the managing broker for GHP Merger & Acquisition Services LLC, an investment banking firm and member company of The GHP Financial Group.

Lisa has worked at GHP Horwath since 1990, and before that was a supervisor in the Valuation & Litigation Services group at Laventhol & Horwath, a predecessor firm to GHP Horwath. Prior to that, she was a senior associate in the Assurance group of Deloitte & Touche LLP. She has a B.S. in Business from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
