Senior Principal

Scott Magnusson, a senior principal in the assurance group at GHP Horwath, has more than 17 years of experience providing audit and attestation services for a wide range of clients. As a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in Colorado, California, Nevada, Florida, and Tennessee, he works primarily with publicly traded companies and small- to mid-sized private companies. He also has considerable international expertise, having worked on client engagements in Germany, Hong Kong, Mexico, and the Caribbean. Scott’s niche is in SEC compliance and reporting, including initial public stock offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and SOX 404 compliance. Scott has worked in industry sectors such as hospitality and leisure, manufacturing, financial services and high-tech. He also serves as a professional education instruction leader for Crowe Horwath International, one of the largest global professional services organizations in the world.

Scott joined GHP Horwath in 1990. Before that, he was an audit associate at Laventhol & Horwath, a predecessor firm to GHP Horwath. He holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Northern Colorado.
